background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;center&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">Unlit Vistas Limited is an independent film production company formed in 2008 by Bill and Sherryn Hunt, created not only as an alternative to the kinds of films being made, but also as an alternative to HOW films are made.<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243;][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;left&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>Bill\u00a0comes from a career as a special effects makeup artist, which brought him to New Zealand to work on <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">THE LORD OF THE RINGS<\/span>, while Sherryn came from a corporate background before landing a job at Weta Productions.\u00a0 They met in 2006 and connected instantly with their shared love of cinema.<\/p>\n<p>Feeling they had some fresh ideas to offer, by 2007, development was underway on their first project, a unique take on the zombie genre, <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">RETURNER<\/span>.\u00a0 Drawing on their decade in the New Zealand film industry, they quickly enlisted the help of some of the country\u2019s top film talent to shoot a promotional teaser trailer, which was released in 2010.\u00a0 As the scale of <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">RETURNER<\/span> revealed itself to be too big for a first feature, Unlit Vistas began developing a few smaller projects.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=&#8221;1_2&#8243;][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221; background_layout=&#8221;light&#8221; text_orientation=&#8221;left&#8221; use_border_color=&#8221;off&#8221; border_color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221; border_style=&#8221;solid&#8221;]<\/p>\n<p>In 2011, Unlit Vistas enlisted the help of their friends, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apeonawhale.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">ApeOnAWhale Productions<\/a> to attempt a feature film with their very modest, but workable resources.\u00a0 They attacked it as a demonstration of what could be achieved with a minimum of time and budget.\u00a0 Nine months later, their first feature film, <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">FUNDAMENTAL<\/span>, was completed.<\/p>\n<p>Unlit Vistas continues development on a number of other projects, including <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">RETURNER<\/span>, retro-splatter <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">MEZZO AL BOSCO<\/span>, zombie anthology <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">THE DAY THAT EVERYTHING CHANGED<\/span> and <span style=\"color: #ff6600;\">LAMB OF GOD: FUNDAMENTAL II<\/span>.\u00a0 Through Bill\u2019s involvement as producer of the progressive horror metal project <a href=\"http:\/\/www.killformother.com\" target=\"_blank\">Kill For Mother<\/a>, Unlit Vistas looks set to now bring its unique production and style to music-based short films.<\/p>\n<p>[\/et_pb_text][\/et_pb_column][\/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=&#8221;4_4&#8243;][et_pb_text admin_label=&#8221;Text&#8221;
